








Teen & Adult Judo Classes (Ages 13 and Up)
MOJ teaches both a Beginning and Advanced Judo students class in the Throwing & Grappling techniques of Kodokan Judo, starting from age 13 and up.
Beginner's Class: focuses on basics: how to fall, how to move, some basic throws, how to set-up a throw, and how to hold and control an opponent on the ground.
Advanced Judo: This class focuses on learning more sophisticated throws and throwing methods; gripping skills and strategies for controlling your opponent in the standing position, and more advanced Ne Waza ( ground fighting techniques) such as Chokes and Armbars and the various methods of getting into them, and escaping from them. We also teach our students the rules of modern Olympic Sport Judo, and the focus on Randori (fighting) is greater than in the Begginer's Class.
Judo Fitness & Competition Training: This class is designed to improve your strength, speed, and flexibility through aerobic and anaerobic training exercises and methods. Exercises that improve coordination and build motor skills are also emphasized with the goal of maximizing your performance in competition, or just to get yourself in the best shape possible. Little Samurai Judo Class

MOJ offers a basic Judo an Fitness class for children between the ages of 6-12 years old. The class emphasizes coordination and motor skill development, as well as teaching discipline and respect. Age appropriate physical exercise is taught to improve your child's overall physical condition...great for helping with weight loss! How to fall and roll safely is stressed in the class, as well as how to perform basic throwing techniques, and holding and controlling ground techniques. Also emphasized in the class is basic, age appropriate, self defense, and anti-bullying strategies. Children leaving this class should be able to easily integrate into most other sports programs.
