MOJ teaches both a Beginning and Advanced Judo students class in the throwing techniques of Judo, starting from age 13 and up. This class focuses on the Throwing Techniques of Judo and the associated physical exercises which build strong balance and strength which enable the student to execute throwing techniques powerfully & effectively. This class also teaches gripping skills and strategies, and counters to throwing techniques. Whether you want to just get in shape become a serious Judo competitor, MOJ has the staff and the training to help you achieve your goals.

For those serious Athletes and Judo competitors, MOJ offers a class designed to improve your strength, speed, and flexibility through aerobic and anaerobic training exercises and methods. Exercises to improve coordination and build motor skills are also emphasized with the goal of maximizing your performance for competition. Test yourself and get into peak shap. The class is open to students 12 years old and up.
Little Samurai Judo Class
MOJ offers a basic Judo an Fitness class for children between the ages of 6-12 years old. The class emphasizes coordination and motor skill development, as well as teaching discipline and respect. Age appropriate physical exercise is taught to improve your child's overall physical condition...great for helping with weight loss! How to fall and roll safely is stressed in the class, as well as how to perform basic throwing techniques, and holding and controlling ground techniques. Also emphasized in the class is basic, age appropriate, self defense, and anti-bullying strategies. Children leaving this class should be able to easily integrate into most other sports programs.
Women's Self Defense & Fitness
Learn practical and realistic Self-Defense, and get into shape while you do it! MOJ offers classes, private lessons, and seminars on Women's Self Defense. Our Self Defense program is based on practical and time proven techniques from Judo, Aiki Jujutsu, Karate, Aikido, & Muay Thai. You will not be taught "Cage Fighting" or MMA...these are not realistic method for untrained people to quickly learn and apply in "real world" environments. Our goal is to teach you ways to avoid becoming a target, and how to perceive dangerous situations before you get into them. Real Self Defense is 99% mental. But physical training is essential too. Our Students are taught escapes from basic holds and grabs, how to make your body feel heavy to lift, and how to safely fall to the ground. We will teach you simple, fundamental strikes to vital points, effective joint locks & joint dislocations, and simple throws and takedowns that can be learned in a short period of time. In addition to the Self Defense techniques we also teach exercises that strengthen the core, as well increase hand, arm, and leg strength. Integral to this is stretching exercises to increase flexibility, as well aerobic/cardio exercises that are designed to improve your overall conditioning, and stamina, as well as your reaction time. And at the end of each session we focus on controlling your breathing and heart rate, and calming your mind...kind of meditation. Self Defense isn't magic, and there is no guarantee what we teach will work. What we hope is to help keep you out of bad situations, and if you do get in one, to keep your mind calm, your wits about you, and a few tools in your arsenal to deal with a potential attacker. Specialty Grappling Classes
MOJ offers specialty classes in Gi & No-Gi Submission grappling that includes techniques from Judo, Japanese Ju Jitsu, Russian Sambo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Wrestling. Perfect class for the student wanting a well rounded grappling training. The class is open to ages 16 and up.
